Plant A Tree

Planting a tree is a great way to help the environment. If you go to MyGreenClick.com They will donate $.10 to their charity partner American Forests for every person who signs up. Try to get as many people to sign up as you can.

When I was in elementary school from grades 1,2, and 3 the school used to give us different kinds of trees to plant every year. One year I got a maple, and a walnut tree to plant. My grandfather helped me plant all of them. I really enjoyed spending that time with my grandfather. It was so nice to plant a tree and watch it grow. I used to always refer to the maple tree as my tree. Every year I would marvel at how much my tree had grown. I just loved to see it grow! I know now that they don't give trees to students anymore but I think that is a program that they should of continued to do. Even if they didn't do it every year but every other year would have been good too.

If you have children or grandchildren that is something that you can do together. The whole family can get involved. I would write down they day and year you planted it and than watch it grow. It's kind of like passing down history and it's so much fun!
